Leave your problems at the door.

We live in a world where everyone is going through something. Even the happiest people can be hiding a lot of what they are going through. And yes we need to tackle every issue we have and solve it, as a costumer service professional we must have the very rare skill to be able to forget what we are going through to help our customer with their issue. We must say, as the old customer service saying goes, ”Leave your problems at the door.”

One of the best tools in costumer service is being able to listen and how can you listen to a costumers problem when your mind is focused on your own issue? Compared to yourself, you will deal with 50 people going through something and maybe your employer is the cause of it. Or maybe your costumer is out to have a good time and celebrate but because you’re focused on your personal problems, you give off low vibration energy that makes the costumer upset or sad. As customer support professionals we set the tone for how the conversation will end, will the customer be satisfied or will they be more frustrated. Focusing on our own problems takes us away from solving our customers issues and needs. To provide excellent customer service you must train yourself to handle your personal issues, on your personal time. When you’re not making money or making your employer money.
